POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Directors the Bark Truck Operator is responsible for maintaining communication, managing time, and delegating tasks in order to keep helper working efficiently. The Bark Truck Operator is responsible for the installation of bark mulch at various locations, and properly filling out worksheets at each location. Overall providing superior customer service to all current and future Everett’s Landscape customers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate with Directors regarding current projects and future scheduling.
  • Must be able to blow bark at level set by Company standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining truck and equipment on weekly basis, cleaning and grease
  • Must be able to communicate with customers and provide helpful insight, and superior customer service.
  • Must have the ability to manage time and problem solve on the spot.
  • Responsible for acting as a lead person; must be able to delegate tasks in order to keep helper working efficiently.
  • Properly fill out required worksheets which include customer information.
  • Responsible for completing and submitting weekly safety inspection worksheets.
  • Must be able to maintain a professional appearance, which includes cleanliness, proper uniform and personal protective equipment.
  • Acts as lead person on a maintenance crew when needed; coordinate work of other crew members.
  • Abide all safety requirements which includes proper Personal Protective Equipment, Safety Awareness.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Experience – 1 year of experience in Commercial Green Industry.

Certification

  • Must have valid PA issued Drivers License.
  • Must have a valid Medical Card

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts (Count how many yards used)
  • Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities concurrently
  • Ability to work with practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • Ability to coordinate the schedules of others toward meeting deadlines
  • Ability to identify critical issues and recommend appropriate solutions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee sits, stands, and uses hands, arms and fingers to perform routine tasks. Normal vision and hearing is required. At times, lifting of up to 100lbs. may be required. The duties of this job also require employee to pull, twist, turn and manauver while handling hoses.

The Bark Truck Operator’s time is spent in the field and on job sites or where the noise level can be loud, potential exposure to weather conditions such as rain, sleet, wind, and moderate heat.

Working in the field also entails possible exposure to airborne particles, possible electrical shock, possible gas leaks and working with machinery and heavy equipment with several moving parts.
